Chris Grogan returned to Montana in December 2008 as News Director of Max Media of Montana’s ABC stations. He also co-anchors News Channel 5's "News at 5:30".

Chris grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Marist College in upstate New York. During college Chris found he had a strong interest in journalism. Chris began writing for the student newspaper and in time rose up through the ranks to become the Editor-in-Chief.

After college Chris found himself working in the marketing departments at companies in New York and Connecticut. Realizing he still had the news bug, Chris began working behind the scenes at a 24-hour cable news station in Connecticut.

In 2003 Chris made his first move to Great Falls to work as an anchor and reporter at a local CBS affiliate. During that time, he won an E.B. Craney award for Spot News reporting. Then in 2005, he joined KOLR-TV in Springfield, Missouri as an anchor and reporter. It was during this time that Chris was honored for an in-depth news series on Mexican drug cartels smuggling methamphetamine across the U.S. border, and up into Missouri.

Chris spends much of his time away from the station with his fiancée. He’s also happy to be reuniting with old friends, and enjoying the beauty of Montana.
