Varun Sriram joined the Montana News Network in August of 2007 as a sports reporter. He covers the University of Montana's sports teams, high school and other sports in the Missoula and Kalispell areas.

Varun comes to Montana from Lexington, Massachusetts.He is a graduate of Syracuse University where he majored in broadcast journalism and political science. Varun has wanted to be a sports broadcaster since his early teenage years, when he realized his dream of playing in the NBA was probably not going to come true. He got his first taste of television at Syracuse as host of a public affairs TV show and host and analyst on several sports shows covering college and professional sports.

Varun is an avid sports fan. He bleeds (Boston) Celtics Green and is a die-hard supporter of the Boston Red Sox, Buffalo Bills, and Syracuse Orange. In his free time, Varun enjoys playing basketball, hanging out with friends and family, and playing the violin or any other instrument he can get his hands on.
