Kids Fall Camp at the MAAC

Great Falls - There is a Kids Fall Camp on Oct. 19 and 20 for children in grades K-6. It will be held at The Maclean Animal Adoption Center (MAAC) in Great Falls. The cost is $75 per camper. The camp will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. with extended care hours available. Children will learn how to take care of cats, make art projects and more.     In tonight's Community Spotlight, Tim Bass stopped by the KFBB studio to talk about new class options at Bass Clef School. In the past, the school only offered music classes. But now, it has evolved into a fine arts school, offering a variety of dance, theater and art classes as well. Classes are open to people of all ages, with Tim's youngest student being just two weeks old, and his oldest being 80.  For more information, visit the Bass Clef School website.

Different this year: folks will be purchasing food directly via cash or card. In previous years, attendees would buy tickets upon entering and use their tickets to pay. Tickets will now only be necessary for things like drinks and ice cream.

    Yesterday, July 16th, a possibly hazardous material was spilled onto a manhole cover on 15th St N by the intersection with 12th Ave N at around 4:30 P.M.  Great Falls Police told KFBB it appears the investigation might be taken over by the state, as the spill happened over a manhole cover and there is no word on the impacts this can have.
