Event Description

Oktoberfest began in 1810 as a horse race celebrating the wedding of the crown prince of Bavaria. The race was soon combined with the state agricultural fair, and food and drink were offered.

The Great Falls Chamber of Commerce and the Montana ExpoPark invite all to the 1st Annual “Oktoberfest,” on October 10th, 2009 from noon – midnight. Enjoy live German music from a Polka Band, Big Band, Accordion Players, to an Acoustic Folk Duo. Tasty authentic German cuisine, German beer and wine, arts and crafts vendors, kid’s activities and specialty candy. Bring the entire family and experience the German culture.
