$8,000 Tax Credit to Be Extended This morning, Senator Max Baucus and the National Association of Homebuilders Announced that an agreement has been reached to extend the $8,000 first time homebuyer tax credit. The senator announced an additional $6,500 "move up" tax credit for people that have lived in the same house for 5 out of the last 8 years. The final details are emerging, but it appears the Senate is done fighting on the tax credit. The vote will likely happen Monday, 11/2
