Western Art Week is once again upon us. This year, things are a lot different with the C.M. Russell Museum holding its own auction, separate from the long-running Ad Club C.M. Russell Art Auction. Many have questioned whether the economy can support two big auctions in one week.

Yet back in 1987, it wasn't the economy that art auction organizers were worried about. It turns out the weather was not cooperating one bit.
