Flashback Friday: Fort Peck Lake Water Concerns (July 14, 1990)

By KFBB News Team

Fort Peck Lake was created back in 1940, and since then has grown into one of the largest tourist attractions along the Hi-Line.

Yet 20 years ago, many residents along the lake were becoming increasingly upset, charging that the Army Corps of Engineers was letting out too much water from the dam, to support downstream interests such as the barge industry.

NewsChannel 5's Carol Walker filed this report on July 14, 1990.
