Flashback Friday: Grand Union Hotel Auction (June 17, 1988)

The Grand Union Hotel may be one of the most recognizable landmarks in the region, and certainly in the small city of Fort Benton.

The hotel opened up in 1882 with what was called the biggest party the town had ever seen. Yet by a century later, the hotel had fallen into disrepair, and by 1988, the then owner, was forced to sell all of the history inside the building.
