Flashback Friday: Malmstrom Cutbacks Affect Community (February 28, 1995)

Many in our area were relieved to hear that the nuclear arms treaty signed Thursday by President Obama would not immediately remove any missiles from our region. Many feared that would have resulted in big cutbacks for Malmstrom Air Force Base, and Great Falls.

Yet back in 1995, those fears were all too real as the federal government had just announced it was pulling the flying mission from the base.
