Two women accused of badly beating a third woman heard the charges against them Tuesday in Cascade County Court. Mauritta Oriana Lemay faces an accountability to assault charge while her sister Trista Jade Devereaux faces charges of aggravated assault and tampering with evidence. The two allegedly beat a 47-year-old Great Falls woman late Saturday night in Gibson Park. The battered victim was found near the band shell by a woman riding her bike early Sunday morning. She was taken to Benefis and treated for facial wounds and a minor bleed on the brain. Lemay's bail is set at 25 thousand dollars while Devereaux's is set at 75 thousand. Pro-tem Cascade County Judge Anna Creed told Devereaux she could face up to 20 years in jail if convicted.
