Winds Whip Up Trouble

By KFBB News Team

Today’s powerful winds created problems throughout the heart of the state. In Great Falls, emergency services responded to the 4700 block of Fox Farm Road where they found a power-pole bowed because of strong wind gusts. Northwest Energy crews braced the pole for tonight, and it will be replaced tomorrow. Spokesman for the energy company Tom Glanzer said there were other isolated incidents throughout the area like street lights going out, but nothing major given the powerful winds. He said that an outage affecting nearly five thousand homes in Helena was not related to weather.
