Malmstrom Air Force Base will get a new wing commander next week. Colonel Michael Fortney takes command May 21st. He’s now vice commander at Vandenberg and has also served at Warren Air Base outside Cheyenne. After two years, outgoing commander Colonel Sandra Finan is headed for Air Force Space Command at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs. She will be the new Deputy Director of Nuclear Operations for Air Force Space Command.
