Bio-Diesel Produced Right Here In Montana

By KFBB News Team

As gas prices around the nation climb to more than $4.00 a gallon, some Montana farmers are doing their part to curb our dependence on foreign oil.
Brett Earl and Logan Fisher are 4th generation wheat farmers in Chester Montana. When they found camelina would grow well on their farms they knew they needed someone to sell it to, and who better than themselves?
Soon after, the partners became the first producers of bio-diesel in the state. This alternative fuel, created by mixing regular petroleum diesel with agriculture products such as soy beans, canola and camelina, is being widely used in various areas around the United States, but it has never been available for general public use in Montana.
