Flood Warnings

Wednesday’s record snowfall and Friday’s warm temperatures are a perfect recipe for flooding. Due to high water levels last night, a bridge over Arrow Creek north of Geyser washed out. So far no major rivers are at flood stage, but they're close. The Missouri is only two feet below the flood level at some points. Smaller creeks all over Montana are at or near flood levels. The National Weather Service is keeping a close eye on the rising water and warns people to be careful if they go on the water. They’ve issued a small stream flood advisory that will be in effect until noon Saturday. This includes creeks near the cities of Belt, Lewistown and Raynesford.
