Evans Trial to Stay in Toole County

By KFBB News Team

The upcoming trial of Aaron Lee Evans will stay in Toole County Court. The 37-year old is charged with deliberate homicide and his attorney's asked to have the trail moved believing he wouldn't get a fair trial in Toole County. He’s accused of participating in the beating death of James Lee Jardine last December. According to police reports, after a fight with the victim over an eviction notice, Evans and two other men kicked and stomped Jardine until he was unconscious. Then they put the victim in his own truck and drove it to the edge of a cliff and pushed it off. Cascade County Judge Dirk Sandefur presided over the proceedings. The trial is set for August 18th.
