The Great Falls community joined together today (6/28) to help raise almost 600 dollars for the Children's Receiving Home. A local motorcycle organization, Women on Wheels, held a fundraiser at the Albertsons parking lot on Third Street Northwest. There was a car wash, bake sale, and quilt raffle. The University of Montana mascot, "Monte" and the new Voyager's mascot, "Orbit" were also on hand to take pictures. All of the money will go to buying toys and clothes for the Children's Receiving home, which provides a temporary shelter for abused, neglected, and abandoned children.
