New Census Figures For MT

New census statistics show that Whitefish is the fastest growing Montana city since the start of the decade. The population of Whitefish grew by 60% since the start of the decade. Still, Whitefish is only the 11th largest city in the state.

Kalispell grew by 43% over the period from 2000 to mid-2007. Belgrade and Columbia Falls both increased their populations by 40% And, by the middle of last year, Bozeman had grown by 38%.

But as far as actual numbers of people, Billings remains the largest Montana city.

The Census Bureau estimates Montana's population will reach one-million about 2017.

Bozeman has passed Helena and Butte in population yet it isn't listed in your table of the 5 largest cities in MT.
