West Nile Virus In Cascade County

By KFBB News Team

So far this summer all that itching and scratching has been pretty innocent but now the mosquitoes carrying the West Nile Disease have become active.
West Nile is a bird disease that came to the United States in 1999. When a mosquito bites an infected bird, it goes into its body, the virus grows and tranfers into its saliva glands. When that same mosquito bites a human they too can get infected.
