Great Falls Police Looking for a Few Good Men and Women for Their Citizen's Academy

The Great Falls Police Department is offering the public a chance to join their force as a member of the Citizen's Academy.

The nine-week program is open to Great Falls residents over the age of 18. Its designed to teach the public about how the Police Department operates.

Classes are scheduled each week on Wednesdays from 6:30-9:30 p.m. They will cover areas like weapons training, K-9 operations, and patrol functions and duties.

THE ACADEMY DOESN'T COST ANYTHING BUT ITS LIMITED TO 30 PARTICIPANTS. IT BEGINS ON SEPTEMBER 10TH BUT THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS AUGUST 29TH. TO APPLY VISIT KFBB.COM AFTER THE SHOW FOR A LINK TO THE APPLICATION.

The academy doesn't cost anything but its limited to 30 participants. It begins September 10th.
