New Charges in Quick Draw Death

A man charged with the death of a Ft. Benton man is pleading guilty - but not to a deliberate homicide charge.

Charles Lundy is charged with killing John Wendell in 2007. Lundy says it was accidental while the two were doing quick draws with a pistol.

The deliberate homicide charge is now "mitigated deliberate homicide and tampering with evidence." The new charge means Lundy admits to the killing, but under the influence of extreme mental and emotional stress.

The trial begins October 7th.
