Man Pleads Guilty To Second Degree Murder

A Fort Belknap Man is currently detained after pleading guilty to second degree murder in Federal Court. Wallace John Bear is accused of stabbing Joseph Dubois in February 2008. Bear's brother got in a fight with Dubois shortly before the stabbing. The fight happened at a home on the reservation and was stopped by bystanders. But when Bear saw his brother's wounds, he stabbed Dubois in the chest several times.
He faces the possibility of life in prison. Sentencing is set for January 8, 2009.
