Cutting Edge HVAC System Installed in Cascade County

By KFBB News Team

This week is a first for one local company, as they install cutting edge environmental technology into an area home.

Workers from Central Heating and Plumbing are placing a series of loops underground as part of a geothermal heating and cooling system. A chemical mixture will be pumped through the piping, which will transfer the underground heat into the home.

The system can also take cool air from the ground in the summer. The system is expensive to install, but can save money in the long run. Once it's finished, the residence will no longer have a gas bill.

And if you're looking to go green, the system is for you because it doesn't produce emissions. The environmental protection agency has called the geothermal heat pump the most energy efficient, environmentally clean and cost effective space conditioning system on the market.
