Woman Pulled from Wreckage in Montana City Crash

By KFBB News Team

A single car crash left one woman pinned in the wreckage Sunday night.

Montana City Volunteer firefighters responded around 9:00 p.m. Sunday to Saddle Mountain Drive, where they found the woman stuck in the wreckage. The car had hit a tree and the victim was unconscious when firefighters arrived.

Firefighters used the "jaws of life" to extricate the woman from the wreckage. She was then taken to St. Peters Hospital in Helena for treatment of her injuries.

The Montana Highway Patrol says speed played a factor in the crash, as well as travelling too fast for the snow-packed conditions of the road.

The crash is still under investigation.
