Three Plead Not Guilty to Animal Cruelty

Three Fort Shaw residents facing animal cruelty charges say they’re not guilty on all counts.
On February 9th, Cascade County Animal control officers responded to a report of possible animal neglect of horses at home west of Fort Shaw. Later Sheriff's detectives say they found a large amount of abused or neglected animals on the property. They also found dead animals. In all more than 10 horses showed obvious signs of abuse.
Marilyn Whiteside, and David and Elizabeth Lee were each cited for Felony 1st degree aggravated animal Cruelty and four counts of unlawful disposition of a dead animal.
Their trial is set for July 27th.
