Breaking News: Jury Rules Suicide in Pondera County Shooting Death

By KFBB News Team

A six person jury ruled that a suspect in Pondera County custody committed suicide back in February.

Fergus County Coroner Richard Brown presided over an inquest in Conrad this afternoon. This one looked into the death of 59-year-old Terry York. It was back in February when York was taken into custody in Pondera County for violating parole conditions. York apparently asked to be taken home to get medication and tend to his livestock before being taken to jail, and deputies agree. Once at his home, authorities testified today that York died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Ultimately the jury agreed, returning with that decision around 4:00 p.m.
