Neighbors Outraged About Hit-and-Run

By KFBB News Team

New information is surfacing about Wednesday morning's fatal hit and run collision in Great Falls. An autopsy at the Montana State Crime Lab determined that 21-year-old Sasha Holt died of blunt force trauma to the body. Meanwhile, residents of the Fox Farm neighborhood are raising concerns about traffic safety.

The incident happened about 1 a.m. on Fox Farm Road, south of East Fiesta Road. The Montana Highway Patrol says they believe Holt was walking along the road, following a party, before she was struck by a vehicle and killed. Law enforcement is still searching for the driver of the vehicle.

Residents say high speeds on Fox Farm Road is nothing new.

"It's very concerning," said area resident Greg Stanton. "You can't let your kids cross the street or ride their bikes. We had the hit and run, but it's not the first problem. My sister lives nearby and she has had teenagers flip their cars near her place, thinking they were indy racers."

"I've had my mailbox flipped around and cars ended up on the neighbor's yard," said area resident Darleen Fassler. "One car almost hit me. It's a problem. It could have been me, it could have been one of my five children or anyone's children."

While law enforcement continues to search for the driver, neighbors search for answers and hope that this incident might somehow lead to better safety on Fox Farm Road.

If you have any information on this incident, you are encouraged to contact the Montana Highway Patrol at 453-1121 or the Cascade County Sheriff's Office at 454-6820.
