Helena Man Dead after Bar Fight

The 32-year-old man who was reported to be in critical condition after a fight at the Corner Bar in Helena has died. The Sheriff’s office said the fight began when Ehret found his girlfriend playing pool with 30-year-old Jesse Surburgg. Surburgg and Ehret then took the fight out to the parking lot.

Helena Resident Paul Cartisser saw the events of the night transpire. “I was scared to death. At first I actually thought it was my son and then thank god I find later it wasn’t my son but it’s tragic, to see someone laying there being hurt on the side of the road.”

According to Coroner Mickey Nelson, Ehret died Tuesday morning due to complications of his injuries. Sheriff Dutton says at this time no further charges have been filed.
