By KFBB News Team

Breaking news out of the Cascade County sheriff's office.
Tonight (6/3), a suspect is in custody involving this week's hit and run fatality.
Jason Caughey, age 38, turned himself in to the sheriff's office this evening, claiming that he ran 21 year old Sasha Holt over in his vehicle, and drove away, leaving her dead.
It appears he may have been driving back to his residence at the time at 471 Flood Road.
Caughey is the Chief of the Gore Hill Volunteer Fire Department and a reserve deputy for the Cascade County Sheriff's Department. He has been charged with failure to remain at the scene of a fatality, and his bond is currently set at 200-thousand dollars.
Sheriff's currently have a warrant to search his home, and the investigation continues.
