The Black Eagle Fire Department and Cascade County Sheriff's Office have been working to recover a body that was discovered near the Rainbow Dam earlier today (6/3).
Authorities are releasing few details at this time, but they are saying it appears the victim is male.
Once the body was discovered, one side of the dam was shut down and water flow was diverted to the East side.
Due to the high angle of the recovery, this is a complex search and rescue mission that will take hours to complete.
Officials say there is no reason to suspect foul play at the moment, and more details will be released pending a complete investigation.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
The body will most likely be taken to Missoula.
