Fireworks Stands Closing

By KFBB News Team

The Fourth of July has come and gone but some fireworks stands in Cascade County were still open for business today (7/5). The TNT Fireworks stand in Black Eagle was one of the last to close. Whatever didn't sell will be boxed up and shipped back to the factory. Though a few hundred fireworks will be shipped back, operators of the stand say they are happy with sales this year. Yesterday (7/4) alone they sold eight thousand dollars of explosives. Money raised at the TNT Stand will help send a local group of boys to an international soccer tournament. Mario Martinez with TNT Fireworks said, ”An international tournament, it just opens their eyes to the bigger scheme of soccer its not just localized here in Montana it is a worldwide sport...It's going be great for them." Parents and grandparents manned the stands around the clock for the past week hoping to help their kids. This is the second year for the fireworks fundraiser. Overall the group has raised about $7,500.
