By KFBB News Team

New details are emerging in the case of a Hill County couple accused of hiding the remains of their 11-year-old daughter in the garage of their home. The story began in April of last year in Southern Oklahoma.

According to court documents, that is where 35-year old Abel Wolf and 40-year-old Denis Wolf say they discovered the dead body of their child, Cheyenne.

The couple is being held without bail in Havre, on an Oklahoma charge of unlawfully moving their child's body. Court records say that they put the body into a sleeping bag, and into a plastic tub that they buried under their deck.

Then in August, the couple moved to a house off of Highway 87 near Rocky Boy. They allegedly hid the child in the garage of that home. That is where the body stayed until January, when the couple apparently moved the body to a house in Milton-Freewater, Oregon.

Just last month Summer Many White Horses pled guilty in Cascade County Court after she hid the remains of her child in the trunk of her car. Now, the disturbing news of this Hill County couple has left area residents stunned.

"When something like this happens so close to you, you don't feel to good," said Marvin Belcourt of Box Elder.

"It's sick," said Sheila Bull of Rocky Boy. "Something should be done about it."

"It's hard to believe," said Wes Kirn of Havre. "It makes you worry about your own kids when something

Abel Wolf told authorities that they never planned on reporting the girl's death and it wasn't until a sibling started to kick and stomp on the body, that the parents decided to dispose of it.

Agents began investigating the couple after Denise Wolf's niece called Oklahoma authorities on June 16. The Hill County Sheriff's Office arrested the couple in Havre on July 3.

An autopsy is being conducted today in Oregon. Word from the Medical Examiner is that the bones are consistent with those of an 11-year-old girl.

Hill County officials say they expect the couple will have an initial court appearance tomorrow. Then, extradition proceedings will likely being. Neither suspect is accused of murdering the child.
