A Vaughn father who left his daughter alone in the car during subzero temperatures last December received a break at his sentencing hearing today (7/9). Jeramey Sheeler's attorney told the judge her client's father was dying of cancer. The judge agreed to postpone sentencing until next month. For leaving his daughter alone for fours when it was fifteen-degrees below zero, the state is recommending a 5-year commitment with the Department of Corrections and a boot camp program. Sheeler will now be sentenced on August 20th.
