Developing Story: Body Found Just East of Fort Benton

A developing story out of Fort Benton, where a body was found and an investigation is underway. The Montana Department of Justice confirms that around 2:00 P.M. Monday afternoon, a local jogger found the body just east of Fort Benton.

The Fort Benton Police and Chouteau County Sheriff's responded to the scene, however the case is being handed over to Division of Criminal Investigation. DCI will be at the scene for the next couple days investigating, and the body will be sent to a crime lab for an autopsy before identification is released.

The only recent missing person from the area is Robert Walborn, who was reported missing by his friends and family on July 29th. Walborn was from Fort Benton, however there is no information at this point on whether these situations are connected.
