New Legislator Headed to the State House

By KFBB News Team

A new legislator is headed to the Montana House of Representatives.

Philipsburg businessman Jim Jenner has been tapped to fill the spot vacated by former Representative Dan Villa.

Anaconda-Deer Lodge and Granite County Commissions selected Jenner from a group of three finalists.

Villa, a democrat from Anaconda, gave up his house seat back in June, after Governor Schweitzer selected him to be the Education Policy Adviser.

Jenner says he will fight for state support of small communities.
