Man Charged in Fatal Great Falls Shooting Arrested in Missoula

By KFBB News Team

The man accused of fatally shooting a youth corrections officer in Great Falls five years ago was arrested again this past weekend and now faces new charges. Andrew Delos Perry is set to go on trial next month for the 2004 shooting death of Michael Romanchuk. Perry originally told police that Romanchuck's death was a suicide but investigators were always skeptical. They continued working on the case until last April when Great Falls Detectives went to Salem, Oregon and arrested him for negligent homicide.
Perry entered a no contest plea to a lesser charge of criminal endangerment, but District Judge Dirk Sandefur rejected it, saying Perry never gave a clear explanation of what happened.
This weekend Perry was arrested in Missoula and now faces charges of robbery and unlawful restraint. Police say he beat up a 19-year-old man he was riding with because he didn't like his driving.
