State Representative Calls for Attorney General to Investigate Alleged Abuse at North Middle School

By KFBB News Team

Today State Representative Bill Wilson (D) of Great Falls sent a letter to the Montana Attorney General's Office, asking for a formal investigation into those allegations at North Middle School.

You may recall court documents allege that two teacher's aides at North Middle School abused a special needs student by placing his head under water, making him eat his own vomit, and sit in feces for half a day.

Four other parents are also alleging abuse in that classroom.

So after hearing of this alleged abuse, Wilson decided the state needed to get involved.

In his letter, the state lawmaker says he fears this may just be "the tip of the iceberg" when it comes to abuse of special needs students in the district, and also feels this issue needs to be addressed on a statewide level.

In addition, Wilson believes these allegations need to be investigated by people who don't have any connections to Great Falls.

Wilson tells NewsChannel 5, "I think it would be important that the attorney general do an investigation, because they're more removed from this situation, unlike the Great Falls Police Department or the school district administrators. And I think they're equipped to do an unbelievably thorough job and get to the bottom of this very disturbing issue."

Montana Attorney General Steve Bullock's office tells us they're committed to staying in contact with both Wilson and the Cascade County Attorney's Office, but at this point consider the investigation a local issue.

It is incomprehensible to read that people are coming to these womens' defense. If the allegations are as reported or even close, they should be criminally prosecuted, not just being relieved of their positions. I hope they spend many years in prison. They have no empathy, the real meaning of a sociopath. If true, there is no excuse for this abominable behavior

If you read the paper today then you would see that all of the parents are complaining of different abusive issues. Not all of the parents are claiming their child was "water boarded". And if you took the time to read correctly, these parents have said these issues were reported many times, not only to teachers, the paras, but also school administrators, and nothing was done.

I have never had to resign from a job for "Not doing anything wrong". Nor have I been arrested for no reason. With patience, Justice will come for these women.

Shame on the news for reporting on this story with incorrect information. Mrs Parish and Mrs Kallies have been slandered. Mrs Kallies has been portrayed by the news as fleaing the state so to not have to face charges. They know where she is she did not flea.I think the news media, the school district, and the families that jumped "on board" as Ms Pepos stated in her short interview should be held accountable for defamation of character and slander.

I think this is just what is needed a formal investigation by people who do not have any connections to Great Falls. All of these allegations appear extremely coinsidental. Everyone's story matches and was started by Mrs. Schilling. I think I see a bunch of $$$$$ in the allegation. These unfounded, no hard facts or proof allegations and so called thorough investigation by Ms Combs is outlandish! Why aren't other teachers that were directly involved in the classroom being held equally guilty?
