By KFBB News Team

It turns out several campers got stuck in up to 40 inches of snow Tuesday and Wednesday.

Lewis and Clark National Forest officials say there's four feet of snow in some areas.

Cascade County search and rescue crews helped one stranded hunter Tuesday night after he had become stuck in the snow.

And then on Wednesday afternon they helped out two hunters near Belt Park.

Those search crews are now looking in the Logging Creek area just south of Belt for any more hunters and campers who may be stuck in the snow.

Authorities also put out a warning that if you do head into the mountains in the next few days- you should bring extra food, water and clothing just in case you get stuck.
