The Great Falls Senior Center was the place to be Wednesday.

The second annual Senior Sampler brought a big crowd to the center Wednesday, where they were provided with health information, screenings, goodies, and even a senior exercise wellness program.

Vendors were on hand throughout the day to answer any questions and give handouts, helping to make the event both informative and fun.

Ben Lamb says, “I got all sorts of little things that came along that I can use. I got information off a lot of the papers down here; see what's coming on, what's coming down the line for us. It's good to come here and it's good to see everybody's here. You don't get this many here very often.”

Event Organizer Pat Hilgendorf says, “This is our 2nd annual Senior Sampler, so this is just the 2nd year that we've held it. Last year, I started the fair just based on the needs of the elderly people and I was volunteering down here at the center. I was getting phone calls; 'where do I find this?' 'where can I get that?' and this, I thought, would be a great opportunity to bring all of these vendors, the businesses, the non-profits, the government agencies together, and let the people see what's available to them.”

Organizers say that close to 400 people showed up for this year's Senior Sampler. That's more than double last year's turnout.
