Health Care Reform Protesters Gather in Downtown Great Falls

About three dozen people took to the streets of downtown Great Falls Thursday morning to protest what they're calling a fiasco.

The group says it's angry about the health care reform plan currently on the table. So on Thursday, they protested in front of the Great Falls offices of Senators Jon Tester and Max Baucus.

Organizers say they timed the protest to coincide with the large one in front of the Capitol in Washington D.C.

That protest was called "Operation House Call" and organized by Michelle Bachman, a conservative congresswoman from Minnesota.

Organizer Jack Lien says, "85% fo us have health care that we're happy with. And why should we be forced to change that. Why don't they work on making health care more affordable for the other 15 percent?"

Organizers of the Great Falls protest say they put the whole thing together in just a few days.
