A man wanted for negligent vehicular homicide out of Hill County has been caught in Great Falls.

40-year-old Robert Shepherd faced the judge Wednesday after being caught by Great Falls police Tuesday night.

A warrant was issued for Shepherd last week for negligent vehicular homicide while under the influence. The Hill County attorney tells us Shepherd was travelling more than 100 miles per hour back on September 9th, north of Havre.

That's when he lost control and rolled his vehicle. His passenger, 49-year-old Joel Bell, was thrown from the car and died on scene. Shepherd's bond has been set at $50,000.

He'll now be taken to Hill County to face this charge.
