Expanded Great Falls Holiday Art Show Benefits Food Bank

The holiday season can be tough on the increasing number of Montana families struggling to make ends meet.

And many of those families turn to the Great Falls Community Food Bank for help.

That's why fundraisers like the "Collectibles for Christmas" show are held in November, when the pantries at the Food Bank could use a boost. The event offers a range of pieces from local artists at prices for all budgets.

"The whole idea behind this event is when people are going to be shopping anyway, shop here first and give some money to the food bank so you can help people while you're doing your Christmas shopping," said Event coordinator Hope Good.

The show has been expanded for its second year, with a silent auction running through 7:00 Friday and from 8 to 5 Saturday, followed by a live auction.

All proceeds go to the Food Bank, and it all takes place at the Great Falls Holiday Inn.
