Volunteers Remodel Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall

On Friday volunteers from around the region came together to give a facelift to a local place of worship.

Over 700 volunteers are participating in the 23-day project to remodel the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in east Great Falls. The project aims to bring the building up-to-date to accommodate a growing congregation. In addition, numerous changes are being made to bring the facility in line with Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines. Improvements include a handicap ramp, new bathrooms, and accessible counters. The projected cost is estimated at around $90,000, and the project is driven by donations and the support of many people.

The project will be completed by the end of this week and the first meeting in the new hall is scheduled for next Sunday.

I was raised from Infancy as a JW. I left when I was 17 thinking that I knew better. I didn't. The world we live in sickened me with all of the bad influences that I got involved in. I'm glad that I finally woke up and got back to living a life that is full of peace and an organization that is united worldwide. If they could always build or do community charitable work I think they would be happier. The door to door work is so unproductive and boring.
