Volunteers Remodel Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall

By KFBB News Team

On Friday volunteers from around the region came together to give a facelift to a local place of worship.

Over 700 volunteers are participating in the 23-day project to remodel the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in east Great Falls. The project aims to bring the building up-to-date to accommodate a growing congregation. In addition, numerous changes are being made to bring the facility in line with Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines. Improvements include a handicap ramp, new bathrooms, and accessible counters. The projected cost is estimated at around $90,000, and the project is driven by donations and the support of many people.

The project will be completed by the end of this week and the first meeting in the new hall is scheduled for next Sunday.

Free labor, member donations pay expenses, tax free. For a sect that has been saying for well over a century, and especially in the last 30 or so years, that the world has a very limited, short - term future, this vigorous building by the Jehovah's Witnesses seems long term to me. Maybe they've cancelled Armageddon again?

The problem with 'being raised Jehovah's Witness' is that they indoctrinate that they are the ONE and only true religion, Sure,of course most all religions say this but the Watchtower religion takes it to an extreme level with cult-like mind control and instilling phobias. If you don't do as they say and go by their many rules you feel that you are condemned. The JW defenders will deny all this but they are just shills for it.

Jehovah's Witnesses say that Jesus had his second coming already 'invisibly' in the year 1914 and then Jesus waited 3 1/2 years to appoint them the Watchtower society rulers of his earthly kingdom in 1919. This is their hard history and they cannot change it anymore than the Mormons can change Joseph Smith golden plates Jesus came to America for them.

Chrisitan elders within the congregations of JW's have a life. They are not out to get anyone. They have families, they work secularly to provide for their families,....they do not get paid to be elders. For the most part, they are compassionate men who are available to help others adhere to Bible standards. Individuals only disfellowship themselves for their practicing of sin and their raunchy attitudes of 'I don't care less.'

Do you think God condones us killing one another needlessly? This is a sick world with sick people. We need good news, not bad. Do you have any?

The whole world is lying in the power of who? The wicked one! Satan, not Jehovah. Satan obviously has his sites on all of us, including Jehovah's Witnesses. Pray that he remembers your good deeds. He will not be late.

The fact that the Watchtower society has trolls who systematically post false propaganda is a testimony to their 'wolf in sheep's clothing' nature.

Jehovah Witness Instill a separatist mentality against society while promoting an ‘end time’ visionary prophecy. Just like in Waco and Jonestown…..

Fast Facts said on Saturday, Nov 28 at 11:06 PM

Jehovah's Witnesses cause these problems: 1) break up families under the guise of Jesus said so. 2) let kids die from no blood transfusion then say it's from God and then have all kinds of you can use blood parts loopholes. 3) go door to door and lie about why they are really there say it's to encourage Bible reading when they want to get literature in your hands ask for donation and then come back bothersome because

Jerom; The 90,000 is for materials only. People really do come at their own expense. All labor is volunteer. We build Kingdom Halls out of necessity only. I've been involved in 46 new builds or remodels in the 23 years I've been a Witness. I'm on the drywall finishing crew. Usually we get started about 10pm Friday eve., and finish about 8am Sat. for painters. Makes for an extremely fulfilling weekend. 4 dys average from start to finish. I was at Helena. That would be true.

I have seen these projects where I come from. Fantastic to watch.

Is it true that Jehovas are the fastest growing religion in the world? I know they're not the largest, but I know they work really hard to help people learn the Bible. Does anyone know the address of this church? I'd like to see what they are all about.

David said on Saturday, Nov 28 at 2:28 PM

Judith may consider them dangerous, but check into what they have done in the supreme court for you and I. I checked this out and was amazed. They have fought for our civil liberties. I think that the reason the governments are concerned is because they are being exposed. I'm a voting individual that wishes I could give it up. I keep thinking one party or the other are going to make a difference. I'm still waiting.

Jerom said on Saturday, Nov 28 at 2:20 PM

I wonder if the $90,000 was just materials? I don't think the volunteers take any money for their work. Do they really come from all over at their own expense? Can anyone tell me what the $90,000 is for? Actual dollars spent or value of the project. I heard they built a complete church in Helena in 4 days...true/false? Just curious.

Traci said on Saturday, Nov 28 at 2:16 PM

In response to Trudi... when is the last time you seen or heard of a cult doing things for people for nothing? Boy are there a lot of religions out there. I mean really "out there". I would think that it would be blasphemy to say that a religion that follows Christ and the Bible as closely as these people to a cult. I'm really careful not to make hasty judgments against people, but I think you are jumping to a conclision that may be "out there". Were you taught to hate or is it in your nature?

Hey Sal: Do you really think that the best source of information on anyone would be EX anything? EX wife, Ex employer? Really. Maybe the best source would be to just ask them. I did and so far they are the only ones that could answer my questions. I know they don't take their faith lightly. If more of us did that, I think that life would be much better. I need a better life, mine sucks. Sounds like yours does also.

Very nice to see folks that are not hateful or bitter, but rather productive and enjoying life, working together to create something worthwhile. Others can do this also if united by common beliefs and the happy motivation to help others build faith. Nice to see folks trying to be the kind of persons others want to be around rather than the negative and bitter.

Make's me wonder where Frank get's his information. Seem's like just another illiterate individual. I have looked into these people. They have it right. I just can't bring myself to do what they do and what Jesus did...teach other people for no charge. My Bishop has to get paid for everything he does.

Frank said on Saturday, Nov 28 at 10:13 AM

(John 10:16) after reading the entire 10th chapter without Watchtower influence and you will see that the 'other sheep' are the converted gentiles and not an earthly class with a separate limited literal 144,000 going to heaven. Michael the archangel is not Jesus either! There are many Watchtower false spurious doctrines

Frank said on Saturday, Nov 28 at 10:07 AM

1. Bases many beliefs on numerology 2. corrupt translation of the bible (NWT) 3. Founders were into demonic occult teachings 4. Doctrines have changed over time 5.1914 Jesus *invisible* return 6. only 144,000 go to heaven 7. two classes of saved Christians 8. *whole* blood and autologous transfusions a sin,but okay to use fractions donated by Red Cross blood donors 9. genocide of 6 billion plus men women children at Watchtower Armageddon

Sal said on Saturday, Nov 28 at 9:41 AM

The best source of info on Jehovah's Witnesses is EX-members who are no longer under the spell of the Watchtower corporation. The Watchtower teaches Jesus second coming in month of October 1914 this is major false doctrine and sign that they are false religion as bad as any out there.

Moroni said on Saturday, Nov 28 at 7:54 AM

I for one have seen these folks wondering our neighborhoods, talking to people about the Bible. I have never ran into one that didn't know his/her Bible. Even the kids know the Bible better than and religion I have ever been in or seen. Of course everyone has their opinion and Judith and Trudy are obviously uninformed. Look closely, are these people following the Bible? Do you believe in God? from my vantage point, these people are the closest you'll ever see to what God must be looking for.

What wonderful team work! Only true Christians like the Jehovah's Witnesses could achieve something like this. N.

Gayle said on Saturday, Nov 28 at 5:49 AM

I think Jehovah's Witnesses are their happiest when they are building a Kingdom Hall. They have something to show for all their effort. If they could always build or do community charitable work I think they would be happier. The door to door work is so unproductive and boring. The children hate it but cannot be truly honest without getting stern counselling so they say they like it to get desperate praise from their parents.

@TRUDY Every religion on earth thinks of themselves to be the one and only TRUTH. Otherwise it makes no sense to excist. The Anti JW rethoric by you and Judith makes no sense at all and is far from the truth. kindest regards from the Netherlands, Europe

Trudy said on Saturday, Nov 28 at 1:55 AM

Jehovah’s Witnesses are a classic cult. A cult does not require any set number of leaders, only the inerrant belief that they are the ONLY TRUE RELIGION. Nothing else matters once that ego kicks in and messes with their heads. Once that engages, it usually takes a life-changing event or change of circumstances to get them to reconsider their beliefs The Watchtower society as an example is not benevolent and won’t let you leave their organization in peace.

Judith said on Saturday, Nov 28 at 1:15 AM

Jehovah's Witnesses are considered a dangerous cult in many European countries and definitely under investigation because governments are concerned by the mind manipulation, child molestation cover-ups, breaking up of families due to shunning, as well as other atrocities taking place within the religion. Victims of WT's hard-line organizational policies are speaking up to government officials about their experiences and they are responding with assistance.
