Thousands of people descended on downtown Great Falls this evening for the annual Christmas Stroll.

For those that braved the winter weather, the evening was all about getting in the holiday spirit and having a little fun.

Starting with the parade, the annual Christmas Stroll was underway in downtown Great Falls, signaling that the holiday season is officially upon us.

"We wanted to come down here, have some fun and watch the festivities,” said Mickey Jones.

Despite the painfully frigid temperature, thousands came to watch, eat, and simply enjoy.

"This is my first time here,” said Bog Gilko. “We wanted to come down here and see what all this was all about."

Then it was time for Polar Plunge. News Channel 5's Heather DeSiena, KelseyThomas, Stephanie Tyrpak and Corrina Pysa took part. Known as the KFB Bees, they raised $765 for Special Olympics Montana.

Another year of the Christmas Stroll is in the books, and many more memories have been created on this special night.
