Great Falls Ranks in Top Ten Places Home Prices Have Risen

Even with today's icy mess, Great Falls is still a desirable place to live and work.

So great, that housing prices have risen over the past year, while most of the country has been victim to a housing bust.

The Great Falls home market has been so stable, it's gaining national attention, winning recognition as a top ten market where home prices have gone up on Kiplinger.com.

Great Falls low unemployment rate and low foreclosure rate is drawing in both new families and new businesses.

So even when the rest of the country is riding the housing market roller coaster, Great Falls is one spot where buying a home is a sound investment.

Rental prices and home prices are through the roof! I suppose it can be seen as good thing, but for most of us, it isn't. It's pretty much cheaper to live in Whitefish, Livingston and other area before Great Falls. This is a dump compared to those areas.

It's great in theory, but for those of us trying to buy a home in this market, it actually makes it pretty hard for us. It actually seems more out of staters are buying while the rest of us are stuck at the mercy of Great Falls' world renowned slum lords.
