Brothers Face Charges After Marijuana Bust

By KFBB News Team

Two brothers face multiple charges following a marijuana bust at their home.
Devin and Daryl Piper face charges of criminal manufacturing, criminal intent to sell, and Devin will face an additional charge of criminal possession of a dangerous drug.
One of the brothers, Daryl, has a medical marijuana card from California, which Montana does honor...this state allows each cardholder 6 plants and 1 ounce of the drug.
However when search warrants were obtained to search the brothers' home and shed west of Wolf Creek, police found 85 plants and four pounds of marijuana, along with several narcotics.
The Piper brothers were using their shed as a hydro-plonic grow house, which uses a wind, solar, and diesel generator combination.
The Missouri River Drug Taskforce is responsible for the seizure of the drugs, and an investigation is underway.

Weed is good for basic stress, PMS, even some strains will help a headache. Therefore I believe that anyone who wants a card deserves one. Even if their illness is as simple as a tummy ache.

I agree that some people abuse this privledge... But without set guidelines this is only going to get worse.

The war on drugs is a joke. It's sad that people like this ruin it for people who have cards and follow the laws. The fact that marijuana is a class 1 narcotic is pathetic. Law enforcement can enjoy wasting our money now, marijuana legalization is a movement and thanks to Obama it will soon be as legal as alcohol. Funny you people commenting complain about pot while you enjoy your beer or whiskey. Hypocrites!

Please, Please. Not all Californians are any one way. That is just blatant ignorance, and no I'm not a Californian. The real issue here is that while recreational Marijuana remains prohibited people like this will profit from it. Yes these two have been caught, but they are but a drop in the bucket. The legalization, government control, and taxation are the only way to solve the problem. Like it or not Marijuana is here to stay so lets please stop throwing people in jail and enabling a black ma

Medical marajuana docs are a joke whether they're in CA or MT. The conditions that make you eligible for medical marajuana are ridiculous, such as leg cramps or insomnia, anyone that wants a card can get one, you just need to find a doctor that will prescribe it.

this is how they grow pot for patients. 85 plants is still under the federal guidelines of 100 plants so this is a waste of tax payers money go hunt down the meth and hardcore drugs

It's this kind of TRASH that gets those that truly need that card and the medical grass looked down on and the rest so difficult to get the card if they truly need it. This is a REAL EXAMPLE of what the people from CA are truly like they'll abuse anything and everthing they can get their hands on. The QUACK that gave that dude his card should have his medical practice taken away because he evidently doesn't care who he gives it to!!!
