Roping and riding were not the only things to see at this weekend's rodeo. The Annual Miss Montana Rodeo competition wrapped up on Sunday, with two lucky women being crowned the new Miss Rodeo Montana and Miss Teen Rodeo Montana 2010.

During a ceremony Sunday morning, 20-year old Jourdon Han of Rudyard was crowed Miss Rodeo Montana. Han, a certified nursing assistant, graduated from North Star High. She plans to attend MSU-Bozeman to receive her nursing degree.

After winning, Han told News Channel Five, "I'm speechless. I'm so excited. I've been looking forward to this for a long time and my time has finally come. When I was 12, I ran in my first pageant but ever since I was a little girl going to the rodeos I just admired the sparkling shirts so I can say since I was 12, I've been working towards this goal."

After winning, Gurnett said, "I'm so excited. I'm blessed to have all the people in my life that helped me to get to this point and I'm ready for a good year. Ever since I was a little girl, you now you see the rodeo queen and you go "Oh my gosh...those sparkles!" and ever seen then I've just really wanted to become that so I set my goals high and I'm starting to reach them so it's a good feeling."

Both Miss Rodeo Montana and Miss Teen Rodeo 2010 say their goal is to promote the sport and try to get more contestants involved with the pageant. The Miss Rodeo title includes a $10,000 scholarship, and the honor of traveling throughout the nation as the official representative of professional rodeo. She will also give speeches to schools and appear in parades and community events throughout the state.

At the end of her year , Miss Rodeo Montana will travel to Las Vegas to compete for the title of Miss Rodeo America during a week-long competition against other state title-holders.
