Tester Launches New Website for Montanans to Donate to Haiti Victims

By KFBB News Team

Senator Jon Tester has a new website for Montanans who want to help victims of the Haiti earthquake.

Tester says he’s still hearing from Montanans who want to help. So this week, he launched an online resource center with information about helping earthquake victims and volunteering to help in future disasters.

Tester says, “Montanans have taken a lot of interest in what’s been going on down in Haiti. And they’ve showed remarkable interest and want to help. I’m launching a website where Montanans and anybody can go and get more information on Haiti, where they can learn what’s going on and find out how to help the people of Haiti.”

Tester’s website can be found at: www.tester.senate.gov/Haiti

Last month Tester talked with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and ecretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano. He urged both officials to speed up the process for Montanans who had adopted children from Haiti.

Several of those children have now arrived in Montana and are with their new families.
