Great Rockies Sport Show Offers Fly Fishing, Hunting, and Bears

Exhibitors were hard at work this morning, putting the final touches on one wild weekend at the Montana Expopark Four Seasons Arena for the Great Rockies Sport Show.

Even with the below freezing temperatures outside, visitors can plan out their spring and summer adventures indoors, while learning from people with a world of outdoor knowledge.

"We have exhibitors here from all over the world," said show manager Bill Reier. "We've got New Zealand, Africa, Alaska, and Canada..."

Bob Steele and his Great Bear Show is one of the new additions in Great Falls this year. It's an educational show about North American bears and bear safety. His cast of black bears perform a variety of tricks, based on behaviors bears do in the wild.

One of exhibit's goals is to raise awareness for orphaned bear cubs, something the show's stars know all about. One of the on-display bears was a rescue.

And if just watching isn't close enough to the wildlife, you can strike a pose with one of the black bears , divided by only a thin sheet of Plexiglas.
