We have new information about a man accused of shooting his landlord and initiating a standoff with police last fall.

Mark Frantzich is charged with deliberate homicide for allegedly shooting and killing his landlord, then locking himself in his apartment for eight hours before surrendering to police.

Last October, Frantzich pleaded not guilty, but asked the judge if he could plead guilty to justifiable homicide.

And now, his trial--which was scheduled to begin Monday--has been suspended. According to court documents, Frantzich was diagnosed with schizophrenia and found "unfit to proceed" at this point.

Those documents say Frantzich was moved to the state mental hospital in Warm Springs, where he will undergo another evaluation on April 1st to determine if he is fit to stand trial.
