A downtown parking garage is probably one of the last places you would expect to see a work of art, but that is not the case in Great Falls.

For several years now, local artists have shared their work through the urban art project, a series of installations in the windows of the downtown parking garage on 1st Avenue South.

The exhibit features 11 window displays that utilize space the project's director says was rarely used.

Several community sponsors contribute to the artistic effort, which is so popular; next year's spots are almost full.

The artists are celebrating the winter 2010 exhibit tonight at a reception at Bert and Ernie’s.

If you'd like to see the artwork for yourself, you can stroll by anytime through May 5th.
